[Tradition] Qinghai wave (asagi: blue green)
Seigaihamonyo is an auspicious design that depicts gentle waves continuing endlessly, and is used in gagaku and Noh performances. It is imbued with the wish for "eternal happiness," and is considered an auspicious pattern because of its overlapping shape that resembles a fan that spreads out at the end. It is a representative geometric pattern that has been seen since ancient times not only in Japan, but also in Egypt, Persia, and other parts of the world. At nugooNEXT, we have dyed this basic pattern a bright blue-green.
